We're excited to announce DankMaterialShell (DMS) 1.4 "Saffron Bloom"! This release introduces a brand new launcher, numerous improvements to the plugin system which enables GIFs, KDE Connect, Clight, and a lot of new possibilities for extending DMS features and capabilities.

Spicy Miso
We're excited to announce DankMaterialShell (DMS) 1.2 "Spicy Miso"! This release features numerous new features and major improvements to both the DMS core and plugin system.
The next DMS release has a new type of widget and plugin, Desktop Widgets. These are little applets that live on your desktop, below your windows and above your wallpaper.
We are pre-announcing this feature to highlight the plugin ecosystem and to encourage the community to build these new types of widgets.

We're excited to announce DankMaterialShell (DMS) 1.0! ~ DMS is a Desktop Shell for Wayland Compositors built with Quickshell & GO.
What started as a small hobby project has grown into a full desktop shell and application suite with thousands of users and dozens of contributors - with first class support for niri, Hyprland, Sway, MangoWC, and LabWC. As well as general support for all compositors implementing select wayland protocols.
